Hey guys, we’re excited to share our newest event with you… the KakaIru Holiday Rush 2024! This is a 5 week end of year event that will be run from Monday 2nd December 2024 - Sunday 5th January 2025.
How it works:
- At the beginning of every week during the holidays, we will introduce a new holiday-themed prompt.
- Creators will have until the end of the week to create something for the prompt. Non-creators will have one week to go and find & rec creations that fit the prompt.
- The creator & non-creator with the most creations made or recced at the end of the event will win a prize written by mod kakairu-shrine, using the winners’ favourite prompts from the event!
Creator Rules & Guidelines:
- All content must be newly created for this event – old/ recycled work will not be allowed.
- This is a KakaIru event, so all works must be endgame KakaIru.
- Triggering, sensitive & NSFW content must be tagged appropriately.
- Minimum requirements: 100 words for fics, and completed sketch for art.
- Creations will be accepted in any language!
- You can make multiple creations for each theme!
Non-Creator Rules & Guidelines:
- All recced content must be from public accounts who allow people to share their work.
- No reccing creations that were made specifically for the event.
- Reccing the same creator multiple times is fine, but no reccing the same work more than once!
- Minimal double-ups with other event participants is okay, but most recs should be unique!
- Recs are accepted in any language!
- Minimum sharing requirements for fic recs: Author name, title, rating, CW (if any), LINK to their work! (Hint: you can just copy & paste from the share button on ao3 to get those details & more!)
- Minimum sharing requirements for art recs: Username, platform, CW (if any), LINK to their work!
- We must be tagged in your posts (if not shared on the forum) for the recs to count!

- We have an AO3 collection you can post to; and we would like you to use the tag KakaIru Holiday Rush 2024.
