Here’s my entry for the first step of my maze for the kakairu maze challenge 2025
I came with a whole context and storyline I might as well write a fic.
I had the idea that like Kakashi and Iruka are put on a mission to protect this bride, probably daughter of a daimyo, who is a supposed target of a bunch of bandits. Iruka was asked to pose as a temporary groom because he’s pretty good with politics and negotiations etc etc, Kakashi is there for his skill but Kakashi who festering his not so secret crush on Iruka is like “I have a flawless plan trust. If they’re going to attack the bride then it would be more effective to eliminate them first hand instead crashing an actual wedding. So why don’t I become the bride? No I’m not going to henge I have a wig and some makeup, that way I can save chakra, trust me this is all necessary for the success of the mission”. Hijinks ensure with a flustered Iruka but slightly relieved he doesn’t have to pretend to have been in love with for years, nah now he has to “pretend” that he’s in love with Kakashi- and Kakashi having a blast.
